St. Vlas or Sveti Vlas as it is know in Bulgaria is a thriving village just 5 kilometres
north of sunny Beach. St. Vlas is a quieter resort, that would suit families with young children or just people who wish to get away from all the hustle and bustle.

Beautiful sandy beaches combined with a back drop of the tree covered Balkan mountain range makes St. Vlas an ideal location for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday with fantastic views of Nessebar and Sunnybeach.

The village of St Vlas – just a short walk from Vega Village, has developed in recent years, with a selection of fabulous restaurants and shops to choose from.

The new marina in St. Vlas, just a stones throw from Vega Village with 150 berths, sailing lessons, boat hire, numerous restaurants, is a must for every sailing enthusiast.

The village of Sveti Vlas (St. Vlas) is believed to have been founded by the Thracian tribe of Larisi in the 2nd century BC.

During Ottoman rule (late 14th-19th century AC), the village appeared in administrative registrars as 'Manastir' ('Monastery') or 'Kyuchuk Manastir' after the five monasteries in the vicinity of the village. Unfortunately, none of the monasteries has been preserved. Officially, it restored its name of Sveti Vlas after the reunification of the Bulgarian state in 1886.
